Toro timemaster blades not engaging.

First lawn was nice and lush, but not high by any stretch. Plus it was dry. My Honda 21" never had any problems getting through this length. But right away I noticed something was a little off with the TimeMaster. As I was going along the engine kept getting weaker and weaker before finally shutting down.I since have used the mower with no issues for a complete run.
