I have checked the wiring from the sensor to the instrument panel plug and replaced the tach sensor. Got good continuity from the sensor to the instrument panel plug. Sounds ike you have a fuse in diagnostic position in fuse panel. This fuse needs to be removed for normal operation. Not sure if you have open station straddle mount, flat platform or cab, but look for fuse marked "diag". Dave C.
